Eric Graham – Choral/Vocal Music DirectorEric bio pic

Eric is in his 17th year as the Director of Choral and Vocal Music at Marina High School in Huntington Beach where he directs the Viking Chamber Choir, Concert Choir, Valkyrie Ensemble, Norseman Choir and the Siren Chorus. He is also in his 4th year as an adjunct professor at Orange Coast College where he conducts the OCC Chorale. During the summers, he is a member of the choral faculty at Arrowbear Music Camp.Eric received a Master of Music in Choral Conducting at California State University, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Choral-Vocal Music from the Bob Cole Conservatory of Music at California State University, Long Beach. He has been recognized as one of the California League of High Schools Educators of the Year and as the Marina High School New Teacher of the Year in 2006-2007. Eric currently lives in Long Beach with his awesome wife Shannon and his silly and fun daughter, Harper.

In addition to his classroom responsibilities, he also is the Producer and Music Director of Marina’s annual spring musical. Past productions include: Once Upon a Mattress (2009), The Pajama Game (2010), Guys and Dolls (2011), Anything Goes (2012), Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat (2013), Crazy For You (2014), Thoroughly Modern Millie (2015), Bye Bye Birdie (2016), Hairspray (2017), Legally Blonde (2018), In The Heights (2019), Mamma Mia (2020) and Matilda (2022.) The shows under Eric’s leadership have been nominated for several awards by the Spirit of the MACY Awards, Jerry Herman Awards and John Raitt Awards for Youth.

Some of his most memorable musical moments were conducting the Marina choirs in Carnegie Hall and St. Peter’s Basilica in the Vatican and singing under the baton of John Williams at the Hollywood Bowl. He also enjoys performing as a soloist and has been seen in various musical productions throughout Southern California.
